Previous Forecast:

The remainder of  yesterday remained cold with sunny skies as predicted.  Yesterday was the coldest day of the month of March so far with an average temperature of 16°F which is 10°F colder than the second coldest day of this month.  Today conditions remain col much like yesterday.

Today in Eau Claire it is cold, which has been the typical weather conditions for the past few days.  Today's weather conditions are nearly the same as yesterday's.  We are currently still in a high pressure system which can be seen in Figure 1 below.  Below average high temperatures are expected for the next few days.  Sunny skies should continue the next few days, a characteristic of high pressure weather.  Today and the next few days should remain dry as well.  Lake effect snow can be sen over Michigan in the surface map in Figure 1.  Fun fact, the weather on this day two years ago reached 70°F.

Tomorrow's Forecast:

The Eau Claire area is currently experiencing cold weather conditions in the current high pressure system that should continue for the next few days.  Temperatures should stay cold and dry with sunny skies.  A clipper type system is expected to enter the area possibly bringing some flurries late in the day on Saturday.  More on that as it gets closer.
