The first day of meteorological spring if off to a good start! Today in Eau Claire temperatures are a little cooler than they have been the past few days, but are still very spring like. We are having some slightly cooler temperatures due to the high pressure system moving in from the west shown in Figure 1. As the high pressure moves in today it will bring in northwestern winds. The southwest is still being ravaged by rain and thunderstorms.

I believe the weather conditions currently being experienced in Eau Claire will hold for the rest of the day today and continue into tomorrow. I believe temperatures will continue to get colder as the high pressure system continues to move into the area. Clear skies and sunshine is expected to continue. The 24-hour forecast map in Figure 2 shows that the Eau Claire area should remain calm with no weather events coming.
