Today in Eau Claire there has been a winter storm warning issued for Eau Claire County effective from 1 AM on Tuesday until 4 AM on Wednesday. There is snow in the forecast for Eau Claire. In the surface map in Figure 1 it can be seen that Eau Claire is cuurently at the end of a stationary front. There is a band of snow to the North and a large patch of snow currently in Montana. The jet stream map in Figure 2 shows that northeast path is being followed which should push the northerly band of snow into Eau Claire today and the large patch of snow over Montana into the area tomorrow. Today in Eau Claire there should be milder temperatures than on Sunday and clouds are expected to continue increasing over today and tomorrow as the impending snow storms move into the area.

Tomorrow's Forecast:
I believe the weather conditions currently being experienced in Eau Claire will continue with some snow later in the day. There is also a large snow storm predicted for tomorrow. Typically this time in April the Eau Claire area experiences a maximum of two inches of snow, but tomorrow is predicted to bring two to five times that amount. In Figure 3 it can be seen that Eau Claire is predicted to receive two to three inches of snow today and eight inches of snow tomorrow. The winter storm is predicted to cover from Montana to Michigan.
