Tomorrow's Forecast:

The Eau Claire area is currently experiencing cold weather conditions.  I believe these conditions will hold for the rest of the day today, tomorrow I expect more cold temperatures.  Eau Clare is just missing an Alberta Clipper storm coming down from Alberta, Canada following the pattern of the jet stream.  This storm will bring a lot of snow to the Great Lakes area as seen in Figure 2 below, Chicago is predicted to receive 18 inches of snow.  Eau Claire however is outside of this jet stream path and is not predicted to receive any of this snow.

Daily National Holiday:

Today is National Kite Flying Day!  There is a slight wind at about 7 mph so if you catch the right breeze you might be able to get a kite off of the ground.  Probably not worth freezing in the cold to celebrate.  Might need to postpone this celebration till the spring!
