For the remained of Saturday I was correct in predicting snow. On Saturday there was a total accumulation of 3.1 inches of snow. I also was correct in predicting the colder temperatures to return to Eau Claire. On Sunday the average temperature was 2 degrees and there was no snow or precipitation.

Today is another frigid day in Eau Claire. Skies remain cloudy with the sun only peaking through. Low wind speeds help keep the temperatures above zero but just barely. The cold temperatures being experienced are below average compared to previous years. The high temperatures of the day are shown in Figure 1.

The Eau Claire area is currently experiencing several days of cold and I expect that this will continue tomorrow. I believe these conditions will hold for the rest of the day today as well.
